Bologna vs Juventus preview - Caceres set to start

Juventus coach Antonio Conte is set to hand Martin Caceres a starting place in Sunday's Serie A game at Bologna.

The Uruguay defender, who joined Juve for the second time in his career during the January transfer period, scored twice in Wednesday's 2-1 win at AC Milan in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final.

"It was important for us to win in Milan," Conte said of the performance.

"I'm obviously happy for the goals but more so for the victory. We deserved this result.

"It's never easy to win in Milan but we did so."

Caceres, who joined from Spanish Primera Liga outfit Sevilla, played on loan at Juventus in the 2009-10 campaign,

The Juve side he is in now is better, though. The Turin giants are unbeaten in the league after 21 games played.

"There are only five players left with respect to the time when I was here," Caceres said.

"This team is very strong.

"They are playing really well in the league.

"We hope we can continue to do well in order to achieve great aims this campaign."

Juve, who were held to a goalless draw against Siena last weekend, go into the encounter at the Renato Dall' Ara stadium with a one-point advantage over second-place AC Milan and with a game in hand.

Bologna held Juventus to a 1-1 result in Turin earlier this season.

The Rossoblu, who are coached by Stefano Pioli, have drawn their last four league games, including a goalless result at Lecce last time out.

"There's never a good time to face a strong team like Juventus," Pioli said.

"It's going to be a very difficult game.

"It doesn't help that we will have to face such a strong opponent in a week where we have not been able to train regularly due to the adverse weather in Bologna."

Bologna have yet to lose in 2012 but lie 16th in the standings, just five points clear of the drop zone.

The visitors are without injured winger Simone Pepe.

The home side is hoping to recover striker Gaston Ramirez, who is doubtful with a foot injury
