Sneijder: I would've gone to United

Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder has issued a 'come and get me plea' of sorts to Manchester United by declaring he would be open to a move to the English champions.
Sneijder has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford outfit for some time now and the transfer speculation was inevitably in full force once again during the recent January transfer window.
Sneijder has so far done well to keep fans of the Serie A giant on his side by maintaining a diplomatic view on the reports. Just last month he claimed he was 90% sure of staying at Inter over January, but did stop short of guaranteeing that he won't leave.
With the window now shut and a concrete offer from United still to be received by Inter, the 27-year-old has dropped his biggest hint yet that he would have signed for the Red Devils had they stepped up their interest in him.
"There have never been any concrete contacts with Manchester United," Sneijder told Nos.
"I see everything, I am not blind, but there is nothing concrete right now.
"I am happy at Inter, but we will see. I currently have no contacts with other clubs and I am living day by day.
"If on the last day of the transfer window an offer had arrived, maybe I would have left.
"The truth is that I feel at home at Inter, but I do not know where I will play next season."
Sneijder's future at the San Siro is looking increasingly unclear after failing to impress manager Claudio Ranieri in the first half of this season.
In December, the Daily Mail reported that Ranieri wanted to offload the player in a bid to raise funds for the rebuilding of the squad. It stated that any deal hinged on whether the Dutchman was willing to accept less than his £200,000-a-week wages at a prospective club.
