Eden Hazard likely to leave Lille this summer

PARIS (AP)—Eden Hazard is likely to leave French champion Lille this summer and sign with an English club.

Hazard said on a French talk show on Sunday that “I’ll head to England because I think the style of football fits me and it’s where I can learn the most.”

The Belgium midfielder also put an end to rumors in the local media of a transfer in the next couple of days to Paris Saint-Germain.

Hazard said “I’m not leaving,” adding that “I still have a lot to prove at Lille, and why not win one or two trophies.”

Lille is still in the running in the French Cup and the French league.

Hazard was instrumental in Lille winning the French league and the French Cup last season and was voted the French league’s player of the year.
