Harry Redknapp: Not expecting much movement in the transfer market before Tuesday's deadline

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp expects to do little if any business before the transfer window shuts on Tuesday night.

The permanent signing of Juventus loanee Yago Falque has been the only bit of business that Spurs have conducted this month despite a host of names being linked with the club.

Christopher Samba, Junior Hoilett, Loic Remy are all thought to be on Redknapp's radar but the Spurs boss, who is set to travel abroad to watch a game on Sunday, is not expecting any late acquisitions.

"I can't see an awful lot (happening)," said Redknapp, whose team face Wigan on the night the transfer window shuts.

"I will probably watch a game on Sunday but not with a real eye on anyone, although I'm not going to tell you which match."

Kaboul praise

Redknapp has also moved to single out Younes Kaboul for special praise after another impressive display in the FA Cup win at Watford on Friday night.

"Kaboul has been absolutely terrific. That's why I signed him twice," added the former Portsmouth boss.

"He didn't have the best time when he was here the first time but he was only a young boy then.

"I took him to Portsmouth. He was terrific there and that's why I really wanted him back.

"He showed last night exactly what qualities he has got. He is terrific defensively. "I haven't really had to work on him, it's more about making him believe in himself.

"I have signed him twice, that shows how much confidence I have in him. He has been a terrific influence for us."
