Genoa striker Bosko Jankovic has urged his team-mates to take revenge for their shock 6-1 defeat at Napoli last month when the two teams meet again on Sunday.

The Grifoni were humiliated in Naples in their last Serie A game of 2011.

The result at the San Paolo saw the Genoa club make a coaching change with Pasquale Marino replacing sacked Alberto Malesani.

"Napoli scored six goals against us the last time we played them and I have not forgotten that," Jankovic said.

"That result still burns and we hope to make amends on Sunday."

Unfortunately for Marino, morale is low in the Genoa camp.

They head into this weekend's clash at the Luigi Ferraris stadium on the back of a 5-3 loss at Palermo.

Marino said the performance at Palermo was marred by losses in concentration and elementary mistakes from his players.

"We made too many sloppy mistakes and I can't allow that," Marino said. "We must correct that.

"There was also a drop in concentration and you cannot afford to do that in this competition."

Genoa have given away 13 goals in their last four league games and lie 10th in the standings.

Napoli, meanwhile, travel to Genoa inspired by their midweek triumph over Inter Milan that saw them progress to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia.

A brace from Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani ousted the cup holders from the competition and fired Napoli into the last four, where they will meet Siena.

"It is a great achievement," Napoli coach Walter Mazzarri said.

"Inter were in a great run of form and to beat them says a lot about our performance."

Mazzarri will be hoping Wednesday's result can inspire his side to victory this weekend.

Napoli have drawn their last two league games, including a 1-1 result at Siena last weekend.

With just two wins taken in their last six league games, Napoli have dropped to seventh place, 12 points behind league leaders Juventus.
