I have a say

Cowdenbeath are hoping to sign Kilmarnock youngster Gary Fisher on loan ahead of their clash with Albion Rovers.

Player-manager Colin Cameron has ruled himself out with a medial ligament injury and defender Thomas O'Brien remains on the sidelines due to a broken metatarsal.

Cameron watched the Coatbridge side in their 2-0 defeat to East Fife in midweek and said: "I was impressed by their wide men and also with John Gemmell up front so I cannot say I am disappointed he is suspended for this game.

"They have given us two good games already this season and this one will be the same.

"I have asked my players to respond in the proper fashion after losing to Forfar last weekend."

Albion Rovers goalkeeper Derek Gaston and full-back Alan Reid face late fitness tests.

The Coatbridge men are already short of numbers, with Tony Stevenson and John Gemmell missing through suspension and full-back Barry Russell continuing to be out through a hamstring problem.

Paul Martin's side are on a disappointing run of five straight defeats, but the Cliftonhill boss is staying positive.

He said: "There is no point in feeling sorry for ourselves and I believe that we are only one goal away from going on the type of run that had us up to fourth place recently.

"We just need a break and getting one against the league leaders would be a great time to get one."
