Rovers: Samba must stay until summer

CHRIS SAMBA has been told by owner Anuradha Desai he can leave Blackburn but not until the summer.
The Rovers skipper was fuming after a conference call with the Venky's chairwoman at their Brockhall training base this week.
The defender hoped his transfer request would force the Indians to sell their £12million asset as they look to balance the books.
But Samba, who signed a five-year deal last January, was informed by Mrs Desai he must stay and help Rovers fight the drop.
Rovers boss Steve Kean said: "He knows he is not for sale and we won't welcome any more bids.
"Hopefully we can now move on."
