I have a say

Zambia coach Herve Renard says his team has been put in a hotel “unworthy” of a major tournament like the African Cup of Nations and the players will move just two days before their opening game.

Renard told France’s RMC radio on Thursday that “things aren’t going well” for Zambia’s squad and he had to “fight” to move to better accommodation.

The French coach blamed Zambia’s football federation for poor organization. He told the radio station “there are people in our federation who didn’t do their jobs.”

But he added the situation wouldn’t harm team morale, saying “we have to face little problems like this but this brings us together when we go out on the field.”

Zambia plays highly rated Senegal in Group A on the opening day of matches on Saturday.
