Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has offered David Beckham the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of Thierry Henry, Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan, by returning to the Premier League on a two-month loan.
Golden offer: Redknapp wants 'valuable' Beckham at Spurs
The 36-year-old is currently in the process of negotiating a new deal with MLS side Los Angeles Galaxy, after his previous contract expired in December.
Beckham had protracted talks over a move to French outfit Paris Saint-Germain, but with the deal eventually breaking down, the midfielder is set to pen fresh terms in America.
However, Spurs are now ready to jump in and offer Beckham a temporary return to England.
'If David wants to come in then of course he can, it's not a problem,' said Redknapp.
'I haven't spoken to him about it, but I could do if he wants to come back. We'd love to have him here.'
'Could David play for us? It's a difficult one, I wouldn't know about the financial side of all of that.'
Beckham impressed Redknapp after being granted permission to use the club's facilities last January, and the Spurs
manager continued by adding the midfielders attitude would as valuable asset at his age.
'You can’t beat that, it's not just about players who play on a Saturday,' he added.
'It's about your football club, what they can bring to your club, and those kind of people are invaluable.'
'Having people like that around like that, he's worth his weight in gold. They make a difference when they walk into the club.'
Beckham is expected to sign his deal with the Galaxy in the next week or so, giving ample opportunity for Spurs to sort out a complex loan transfer.
