BENEFIT MATCH ... Gary Speed
WALES have announced they will play Costa Rica next month in a memorial game for Gary Speed.
The Wales boss, who was found dead at his home in November, made his full international debut for Wales against the same nation in May 1990.
Speed, 42, went on to win 85 caps for his country before becoming national team boss in December 2010.
A Football Association of Wales statement said: "This will be an opportunity to celebrate the life and achievements of a great servant to Welsh football both as a player and as a manager."
Cardiff City's stadium will host the game on February 29 and 10 per cent of all profits will go to various charities to be nominated by Speed's family.
Wales are hoping to have a full-time successor to Speed in place by the time of the match.
