Fabregas targets treble with Barca

Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas is not known for being unambitious and he has promptly started the New Year by targeting a treble winning end to the campaign.
Fabregas has already lifted the FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Supercup and Spanish Supercopa since his return to the club from Arsenal, but the player admits those trophies don't mean much in the larger scale of things.
The three trophies Fabregas really wants to finish the season with are La Liga, the UEFA Champions League and Copa del Rey.
"I want to achieve many successes and win many titles with Barcelona in 2012," Fabregas wrote on Twitter.
"I am dreaming of winning the treble. If I have to choose, I want the Champions League most, and then La Liga.
"The title I'm longing for the most is the Champions League. This competition gives me a special feeling and is valued the most by the majority of the players."
The 24-year-old midfielder returned to his childhood club in the summer after eight years at Arsenal.
Meanwhile, Barca have agreed a one-year contract extension with back-up goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto, the European champions have announced.
The 36-year-old Pinto joined Barca in 2008 and has played 38 games for the Catalan giants, conceding 28 goals.
A statement on the Barca website read: "Barca announce they have reached an agreement with Jose Manuel Pinto to renew his contract with the club for one more season, until June 30, 2013."
