Stevenson goal sinks Rovers

Jamie Stevenson netted his first goal since November as Airdrie beat Albion 1-0 to maintain their place in the Division Two play-off places.

Airdrie had the first chance after three minutes, but William McLaren's close-range effort was well saved by Derek Gaston

Albion should have taken the lead after 21 minutes when Michael O'Byrne connected with Anthony Stevenson's floated corner, but his bullet header went wide.

The home side threatened again after the break, Paul Lovering's drilled effort was saved by Gaston.

Airdrie finally broke the deadlock with 20 minutes remaining thanks to a great strike by Jamie Stevenson, who volleyed into the bottom corner from the edge of the area after good work by David Lilley.
