Ross County vs Partick preview - Morrow back for leaders
Posted Monday, January 02, 2012 by PA
Leaders Ross County welcome striker Sam Morrow back into their squad to face Partick.
But defenders Jonny Flynn and Marc Fitzpatrick remain out through injury.
County will attempt to extend their unbeaten run in the league to 15 games by seeing off Thistle for the third time this season.
But Dingwall manager Derek Adams is taking nothing for granted despite his side's impressive end to 2011.
Adams said: "Partick Thistle are a really good side that have attacking players that can hurt you so we need to keep our standards high to take anything.
"It would be a fantastic start to 2012 if we got a win but I am sure that their manager Jackie McNamara will be saying exactly the same thing."
Partick are again without the injured pair of Willie Kinniburgh and Ryan MacBeth as they head north looking for their fourth league win in five games.
Defender Jonny Lindsay and winger Christie Elliot are both rated as doubts with Firhill manager Jackie McNamara looking for a win that would move them to within seven points of the Dingwall men.
McNamara said: "The games between us have been tight so far this season and we drew the last time we were there so we can head up with confidence. We have done well recently so we can be positive and take the game to them.
"They are an experienced side and hard to break down but we will be looking to win."
