Johan Cruyff hits out at Real Madrid's Jose Mourinho: You can never belittle the Club World Cup

The outspoken Dutchman stressed that the tournament is a prestigious championship, and relished the prospect of Barca meeting Los Blancos in the Copa del Rey
Johan Cruyff has ridiculed the comments of Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho, in which the Portuguese stated that the Club World Cup is a minor competition.
The former Inter trainer recently scorned Barcelona's triumph in Japan, describing the tournament as 'nothing more than a few small games'.
Cruyff dismissed Mourinho's remarks and reminded that a club needs to win the Champions League in order to gain access to the Club World Cup.
"This is a tournament that you can never belittle," the 64-year-old told AS. "First, one has to qualify to get there, you have to win the Champions League, otherwise you cannot play there.
"Barcelona must be happy with what it accomplished, especially with the football it is playing, which delights the entire world."
The 64-year-old Dutchman was not too worried when asked about the possibility of Barca meeting Madrid in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
"I think it is good for football when there are open draws and you can face anyone," Cruyff noted.
"January is usually a dark and cold month, and with this match things could heat up a little bit, I think it is fine."
