Wenger ready to step up interest in Brazilian starlet

Arsenal have been alerted to the prospect of landing Casemiro next month with Sao Paulo reportedly ready to cash in on him - for £10m.

The Brazilian club are aware of mounting interest in the talented midfielder, who has been extensively scouted by clubs across Europe.

Casemiro, 19, is one of the rising stars of the Sao Paulo team and he has already been capped at senior level by Brazil.

His emergence has been noted by Arsenal, along with the likes of AC Milan and Juventus, with clubs gearing up for a January bidding war.

And sources in Brazil suggest Sao Paulo are open to doing business - and at a starting rate of £10m, Arsene Wenger is likely to step up his interest.
