ROBERTO MANCINI has set Manchester City a target of 90 points to win their first Premier League title.
The FA Cup holders have made a blistering start to the campaign with 44 points from 17 games.
Boss Mancini, though, says they will need at least another 46 from their final 21 matches to keep Manchester United at bay.
United were crowned champions last term with just 80 points but Mancini said: "If we want to win the title we should get 90 points because United keep winning.
"I'm happy we're top of the table at Christmas but as I've said many times, it is important to stay there for the rest of the season.
"For this, it is difficult. United continue to win as do Arsenal and Tottenham.
"But it is better to stay on top than be second."
