LONDON (AP)—Arsenal’s scheduled home game Monday against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been postponed to Tuesday because of a planned strike by public transport workers.
Arsenal was set to face Wolves as part of the Premier League’s traditional Boxing Day fixtures. Tuesday also is a public holiday in Britain.
The strike would shut down parts of the London Underground as well as train services into London, which Arsenal said “would have caused severe disruption” for fans trying to get to Emirates Stadium.
