Wenger: We can win ugly, too

ARSENE WENGER watched Arsenal grind out a late Villa Park victory and said: We are learning how to win ugly.
Yossi Benayoun struck with an 87th-minute header.
Boss Wenger said: "Tonight was very unusual because we scored with two set-pieces — and that is basically historical for us!

"It was a very intense game. But our spirit is exceptional, that's why we came back from a bad start to the season and went on such a strong run."
Robin van Persie put Arsenal ahead from the penalty spot before Marc Albrighton levelled for Villa with the 20,000th Premier League goal.
Wenger added: "We were a little fortunate to get three points because Villa were dangerous.
"But we've just had two difficult away games where we had to give everything physically.
"We were a bit unlucky to lose to Manchester City on Sunday — maybe tonight we were a little lucky to win."
Van Persie is now just two short of equalling Alan Shearer's record of 36 Premier League goals in a calendar year.
Wenger teased his skipper by saying: "I always have the question of whether to play Robin or rest him when he plays with the intensity he showed on Sunday and again tonight.
"He said he feels all right so I took a gamble.
"Robin only needs two more goals to equal the record ... now I will start to rest him!"
