Argentina striker Maxi Lopez is aware Wednesday's Serie A game at Parma could be his last with Catania.
Italian champions AC Milan confirmed this week that they have spoken to Catania with a view to acquiring Lopez should they fail in their attempt to lure Manchester City forward Carlos Tevez to the San Siro next month.
Lopez, who scored his third goal of the campaign in Sunday's 2-0 triumph over Sicilian neighbours Palermo, said: "I saluted Catania fans on Sunday because you never know what the future holds.
"I dedicated my goal in the derby to Catania fans, who have always been there for me.
"I don't know where I will go in January.
"I know Catania are open to transfer me but I still have not received a call from AC Milan.
"It would be fantastic to wear the Rossoneri colours because Milan is one of the greatest clubs in Italy.
"But right now my focus is on the game at Parma."
Catania, coached by Vincenzo Montella, go into Wednesday's game at the Stadio Ennio Tardini in ninth place and looking for their second win on the road this season.
Franco Colomba's Parma, meanwhile, drew 3-3 draw against bottom side Lecce on Sunday, battling from two goals down to earn a point.
The result left the Ducale club in 13th place, three points behind Catania.
"Fortunately my team reacted in time and that is a positive sign," Colomba said. "I hope the fans can appreciate that the players are giving their all.
"The team needs the support of the fans and I hope they will back the players on Wednesday."
Parma, who are unbeaten at home since October 23, will be without defender Gabriel Paletta and midfielder Stefano Morrone, both suspended.
The visitors will be without midfielder Gennaro Delvecchio, who serves a one-match ban.
