Sandro: Beat Blues and we can win title

SANDRO believes Spurs can win the title if they beat arch-rivals Chelsea at White Hart Lane this week.

Harry Redknapp's team climbed to third at the weekend with victory over Sunderland — their sixth home win on the spin.

The last time Tottenham finished that high was in 1990 under Terry Venables.

But midfielder Sandro believes the present squad can do even better if they overcome fourth-placed Chelsea on Thursday.

The Brazil anchorman, 22, who made his first start of the season on Sunday following a knee injury, said: "If we beat Chelsea it will give us the belief we can win the title.

"If we win, the only way will be up for us.

"Yes we can win the title. Why not?

"Every single player in the squad is good, we are a strong team and our bench is strong."
