Forfar defender Jamie Bishop will miss out against East Fife.
The centre-back picked up a knock in training, with fit again defender Mark McCulloch ready to replace him after more than two months out with a groin injury.
Manager Dick Campbell is hoping that his men get their boots on as he does not want to be playing catch up again this season.
"We ended having two games a week last season in February to April and that saw us run out of steam by the end of the season," he said.
"Three consecutive draws and then not playing for a couple of weeks has seen us look a little detached in ninth place and we will be going all out to change that by getting three points in this one."
East Fife centre-back David White will be missing with a finger injury as they look for to climb back into a play-off spot with a win.
Andrew Cook, Craig Johnstone and Scott Dalziel are also out and manager John Robertson is wary of the Loons despite their low position in the table.
Robertson said: "Forfar will not be happy with how this season has gone so far and someone will suffer for that soon.
"We have to ensure that it will not be us and a win would lift us back into the play-off places and that has to be our aim from this game.
"The last time we played each other it was 4-3 but if we win it 1-0 I will be happy."
