Montpellier draws 1-1 with Toulouse in France

PARIS (AP)—French league leader Montpellier was held to a 1-1 draw by Toulouse on Saturday, giving big-spending Paris Saint-Germain a chance to take top spot in the standings.
PSG trails Montpellier by a point and needs a victory over Lille on Sunday to go top.
Geoffrey Dernis converted a rebound to open the scoring for Montpellier after six minutes, but Toulouse fullback Cheikh M’Bengue stole the ball from Dernis to level with a curling shot in the 40th.
Also, Marseille scored in stoppage time to beat Lorient 2-1 and make up ground in the race for a European spot.
Also Saturday, it was: Dijon 1, Saint-Etienne 2; Caen 1, Nancy 2; Brest 1, Auxerre 0; and Nice 2, Valenciennes 0.
Lyon played Evian late Saturday.
On Sunday, Bordeaux faces Sochaux and Rennes visits Ajaccio.
