Mallorca vs Getafe preview - Zuiverloon loves home comforts

Real Mallorca defender Gianni Zuiverloon has urged his side to make the most of home advantage against Getafe as the Balearic Island outfit seek to continue their improved form and go into the Christmas break clear of the relegation zone.
Mallorca have climbed up to 11th spot on the back of an unbeaten five-match run, while in their last 11 league outings Joaquin Caparros' men have suffered only two defeats, one of which was against Barcelona at the Nou Camp.
Despite that run, however, Mallorca are still only three points above the bottom three, and Zuiverloon knows a victory over Getafe in the final round of league matches in 2011 would be a welcome boost for his team.
"We still need the points and it would be good to get them before Christmas. We have a great chance to do so and we need to make home advantage count against Getafe," said the Dutchman, who is enjoying life at Mallorca following his summer switch from West Brom but is hoping to get more playing time in the future.
The former Feyenoord full-back told the club's website: "I'm adapting in the best way to the island. I'm in a marvellous team, I'm happy because the results are starting to come and we are comfortable.
"As a footballer all I want to do is play. I'm here to get better and I hope that with more games I will develop a bit more continuity in my play."
Caparros is expected to resort back to the side that won 1-0 at Real Zaragoza last weekend after resting a number of starters for the Copa del Rey clash with Sporting Gijon in midweek.
Getafe manager Luis Garcia's selection will be hampered by the loss of Juan Valera, Diego Castro and Michel through suspension.
However, the former Levante boss is more concerned about his side's mentality away from home, which he believes has contributed to their poor showings on the road so far this season.
He said: "Our return from the home games is good and away from home is disastrous. We have 16 points, 15 of those at home.
"Away we are conceding goals from dead balls and we need to improve. If we can win we will move up to mid-table when only a few weeks ago we were bottom.
"We need to be much stronger mentally to get points away. The league is very equally balanced, with 19 points you might be having a good season but with 16 in the relegation zone. With everything so well balanced the smallest of details count."
