I have a say

Former Real Madrid midfielder Guti has said that he will make a decision on his future during the course of the coming week.

The 35-year-old is currently without a club after terminating his contract with Besiktas in November by mutual consent.

Despite being linked with a return to Spain, the midfielder has maintained his position that a return to La Liga is unlikely, stating his wish to play in Asia and 'learn new cultures'.

Guti revealed he has received some offers and noted that he is leaning towards an experience in Dubai.

"I have a couple of offers, one from Shanghai and another from Dubai," he told Antena3. "Shanghai would be 10 months and Dubai just five, and I feel like spending the summer with my kids. I hope I will be able to announce my future next week."

The former Real Madrid midfielder added that he wants to take a 'sabbatical year' after retiring, but plans to continue to be involved with football as a coach or as a director, when his break is over.
