Santos' Neymar: Winning the Club World Cup and beating Barcelona is our mission

I have a say

Santos star Neymar has admitted that it will not be easy for his side to lift the Club World Cup, but insisted that the Brazilians have a great chance if they meet Barcelona in Sunday's final.

The Copa Libertadores holder will make its tournament debut on Wednesday when it meets Kashiwa Reysol in the semifinal. Barcelona, meanwhile, takes on Al Sadd a day later for the right to play in the weekend's decider.

Neymar cited Tom Cruise's blockbuster film Mission Impossible to emphasize how difficult it would be to take a result from the Spanish giants.

"Look, [playing Barcelona] is going to be like that film, Mission Impossible," the striker told Globoesporte from Santos' Japanese base on Tuesday. "It is very difficult, almost impossible, but you know at the end the guy is always going to do something great and finish his mission. That is what we have to do."

Neymar also discussed his decision to stay in Brazil until the 2014 World Cup. While affirming that he would stand by his choice, the 19-year-old also reiterated that he would one day like to play in Europe.

"I have always said I would like to, and I still have that dream. What I have realized as time goes on is that it would be hard for me to be as happy as I am right now, in Santos," he explained.

"I play here with brilliant people, close to my son and my family. There is no reason to move away right now. I am 19 and my whole life is ahead of me."

Neymar will have the chance to collect his fourth winner's medal of 2011 if he is successful in the Club World Cup, after previous triumphs in the Copa Libertadores, Paulista Championship and South American Under-20 Championship.
