Forfar vs Stirling Albion preview - McCulloch boost for Forfar

I have a say

Forfar are hoping their Station Park pitch will beat the big freeze to allow their game against Stirling Albion to go ahead.

Defender Mark McCulloch is set to be included after more than a month out with a groin injury.

Midfield duo Chris Hegarty and Martyn Fotheringham are added to the squad that grabbed a late point at Dumbarton 10 days ago after illness, while on-loan Aberdeen goalkeeper Jamie Langfield is in line for his home debut.

Loons manager Dick Campbell said: "We should not be in ninth place but we are and have to get on with things. Everyone is disappointed with how our season has gone so far, results-wise, and are determined to put things right."

Greig McDonald is hoping to finally get his player-caretaker manager spell in charge of Stirling up and running after two postponements.

However, a back injury will keep him out of Albion's defence at Station Park.

Left-back Marc McCulloch is available after an ankle injury but defender Shaun Dillon remains sidelined with a knock.

McDonald said: "When the game against Forfar was originally called off last Tuesday I arranged a training session with the players and I did the same on Saturday when the Brechin game went the same way and we spent a fair bit of time working on our formation for Forfar.

"Hopefully my false starts will prove to be a blessing in disguise and we can put on a good show."
