Getafe vs Granada CF preview - Moya out to halt Granada

I have a say

Getafe goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya is hoping his team can be the ones to stop Granada's climb up the Primera Division standings when they face each other at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.

Fabri's men are unbeaten in their last five league matches, a run which includes victories over Real Zaragoza, Athletic Bilbao and Sevilla.

That string of results has seen Granada climb to 12th in the table, and Moya is aware his side can expect to meet opponents full of confidence this weekend.

"They go into this on the back of some good results - even some surprising ones," he said.

"They are doing really well and playing decent football. But let's see if we can beat them and bring some respite to our situation."

Getafe's situation is they lie just two places and one point above the bottom three, and risk being sucked into the relegation zone if results go against them.

They can at least take some comfort from the fact all three of their wins this season have come on home soil, but coach Luis Garcia fears that may not be enough against Granada.

"Granada are very physical and very fast, much quicker than we are," he said.

Granada played in midweek, claiming a 2-2 draw against Real Mallorca in a match which saw the last 30 minutes completed after the original game was abandoned when the assistant referee was accidentally struck by an umbrella.

They will travel to Getafe without midfielder Carlos Martins, who has a hamstring injury. Fran Rico is available after recovering from a knee problem.
