Greenock Morton vs Partick preview - Keeper conundrum for Moore
Posted Saturday, December 10, 2011 by PA
Morton manager Allan Moore must choose between goalkeepers Colin Stewart and Celtic loanee Dominic Cervi when they face Partick.
Moore said: "Colin returned to training on Thursday so I could have a decision to make."
Midfielder Michael Tidser may be fit enough for a place on the bench after knee and thigh injuries but defenders Stuart McCaffrey and Ross Forsyth remain out with knocks.
"Thistle beat us 5-0 in our last meeting and while there were never five goals in it there is an element of revenge in our minds," added Moore.
"We have been playing well but what we have to do is score when we are on top during games, as too often recently we have ended up chasing things."
Partick welcome back midfielder Scott Robertson after a hamstring injury.
However, Iain Flannigan, Ryan MacBeth and Willie Kinniburgh remain sidelined with knocks.
Thistle beat Morton 5-0 in their last meeting but manager Jackie McNamara said: "That win is well in the past now.
"And to be honest Morton played really well until they had a man sent off so there is not a great deal of benefit by going back into it.
"More important to me is last week's performance against Livingston where we played really well but made a mistake defensively that cost us a goal. I will be speaking about cutting that out."
