AC Milan midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has urged the Milan powerbrokers to negotiate a deal to bring Argentine forward Carlos Tevez to the San Siro.
Livewire Ghanaian Boateng also hinted that the club should make Tevez their priority signing instead of their concentrating their efforts to lure Catania's Maxi Lopez to Milan.
"Maxi [Lopez] plays well, but we need someone like Carlitos [Carlos Tevez]," Boateng said to Il Corriere dello Sport."
"However, I would take both of them."
The former Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur schemer also revealed that the club has struggled to deal with the prolonged absence of forward Antonio Cassano.
Cassano shockingly underwent heart surgery in early November after being admitted in hospital hours after his side's victory against Roma.
"Cassano is truly a champion, and we are missing him," he explained. "You just have to see what he had done in this first month of the season."
"Robinho and Pato are just as good, but Antonio has different characteristics and therefore can offer different things to the team."
Boateng also insisted that he intends to honour his contract with Milan, adding that he was happy with life at the San Siro,
"I'm fine here at the moment, I want to stay," said Boateng.
"I have a contract here for another four years and I intend to respect it."
"I'm at a great club and live in a big city, but in life you never know what can happen."
Milan, who are second in the Serie A table and just two points behind leaders Juventus, tackle Genoa on Friday.
