Carlos Tevez set for City showdown
Posted Friday, November 11, 2011 by The Sun
CARLOS TEVEZ has been ordered by Manchester City to provide them with an explanation TODAY as to why he went AWOL.
And they will not accept there was any ambiguity over whether he could have a break in Argentina.
Tevez's camp are trying to claim it was not made clear whether he could go to South America or not.
But City are adamant two members of staff said he could not go. And they do not see his failed attempts to contact boss Roberto Mancini as relevant.
Tevez was emailed in Argentina and told the club required an answer today. In addition, they want him at a disciplinary meeting in Manchester on Monday.
City plan to fine Tevez £600,000 — three weeks' wages. It follows him being hit with a £400,000 fine for failing to warm up at Bayern Munich.
