Forfar held by Brechin

Forfar continued their winless streak as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Brechin at Station Park.

Athletic are now without a win in their last six games and it was the away side that came closest to taking all three points in this hard-fought fixture.

Neil Janczyk whipped in an inviting free kick on 26 minutes which was met by Brechin striker James Lister's header from 12 yards out, forcing a brilliant save from Greg Paterson.

Forfar's best opportunity fell to Greg Ross, but his 31st-minute header was well saved by Craig Nelson following Martyn Fotheringham's cross.

Paul McManus' 25-yard effort also drew a good save from Paterson on 58 minutes but neither side could find a winner.
