Rovers will not roll over - Lambert

Paul Lambert insists it would be wrong to believe his Norwich side can just simply "roll over" struggling Blackburn at Carrow Road.

The Canaries have acquitted themselves well on their return to the Barclays Premier League, climbing up to eighth with 12 points from the opening nine games.

A battling 1-1 draw at Liverpool last weekend summed up the spirit of Lambert's squad, many of whom were playing in npower League One just two seasons ago.

However, the Norwich manager maintains any thoughts of complacency in securing a fourth league win against bottom club Rovers would be a big mistake.

"It is wrong if people are going to come and think we are going to just roll them over - that is how you get caught," Lambert said.

"If we don't play as well as we have been we will get turned over.

"They have got young players, but also experienced ones as well, lads who have played in the league for a few years. We have to combat that."

Norwich have no fresh injury worries heading into the clash. Centre-back Zak Whitbread continues his recovery from a hamstring injury. Striker James Vaughan, defenders Elliott Ward and Daniel Ayala (all knee) are long-terms absentees.

Blackburn's new England hopeful Jason Lowe believes Blackburn can turn their season around.

Rovers are bottom of the Barclays Premier League with just five points from nine fixtures, though recent performances including the dramatic 4-3 Carling Cup win over Newcastle in midweek have injected some confidence into Steve Kean's side.

And England Under-21 international Lowe said: "This is my eighth year at Blackburn, I signed as an under-11 and I have seen a lot of people come and go so I am very grateful for the position I am at the moment.

"This club has respect all over the country for its academy and the fact they are not afraid to give young players a chance.

"It has been a fantastic year for me personally but now I want us to start getting the results."

Scott Dann is available for Blackburn after recovering from a calf injury and Steven Nzonzi returns from suspension.

Vince Grella (hip), Ryan Nelsen (knee), Michel Salgado (hamstring), and David Dunn (calf) remain out of action.
