AS Roma vs Palermo preview - Enrique: Let's bounce back

I have a say

Roma coach Luis Enrique expects his team to immediately bounce back from last week's derby defeat to fierce city rivals Lazio when they face Palermo at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.

The reverse brought an end to Roma's run of four games without defeat and saw the Giallorossi slip to 12th in the Serie A table.

Luis Enrique was disappointed with his side's 2-1 loss and is looking for an immediate reaction from his team as they aim to climb up the standings.

"It's a pity to lose the game at the death," Luis Enrique said of last weekend`s last-gasp loss.

"Just when we thought we had already secured a point, we got hit by (Lazio forward Miroslav) Klose's goal.

"We must react immediately.

"We have to play the way we did in our opening 15 minutes against Lazio for an entire game."

Luis Enrique is without suspended Simon Kjaer while captain Francesco Totti is still injured.

Erik Lamela could finally make his Serie A debut against Palermo with the Argentinian playmaker having fully recovered from an ankle injury.

Lamela joined Roma this summer from River Plate and is set to feature.

Palermo coach Devis Mangia will also be hoping for an instant response from his troops after last weekend's 3-0 defeat at AC Milan - their second loss of the campaign.

"We played a very bad game against Milan," Mangia said.

"We didn't have the right approach to the game.

"We need to keep working and try to show more hunger when we play on the road."

The Sicilians, who are sixth in the standings, are still in search of their first win away from La Favorita this season.

However, they will take confidence from the fact that they beat Roma 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico back in April.

They will be looking to striker Abel Hernandez to help them repeat that result.

The Uruguay forward struck twice in that game and will partner Fabrizio Miccoli in Palermo's attack.
