Dalziel is struggling with a pelvic problem as the Fifers look to continue their climb up the table.

Manager John Robertson, whose side have won their last two games to move off the bottom, said: "It looks like we're finally heading in the right direction.

"If we win this game we'll climb the table and move level with Stirling Albion on points.

"Indeed there's a combination of results that could see us go fourth, but I'll not be going overboard as at this stage as, apart from the top three, anyone can beat anyone.

"All I'am looking for is more signs of progression."

Stirling Albion will give striker Darren Smith until the last minute to prove his fitness.

The former Motherwell and Ross County forward has been out for three weeks with a hamstring problem and manager Jocky Scott is hoping he will be fit to face the Fifers.

Scott is already without Callum Reidford, Greig MacDonald and Daly McSorley through injury, while Shaun Fagan is a major doubt.

Scott said: "We defeated East Fife earlier in the season through hard work.

"We'll need to work as hard as that again at least to get a result at their place. It looks like their season is on the up after a couple of wins, but we'll look to put a stop to that."
