Raith have fit-again winger Scott McBride back in their squad as they welcome Queen of the South to Stark's Park.

But defender Dougie Hill remains unavailable because of suspension.

Manager John McGlynn has targeted three points and back-to-back victories for the first time since the opening games of the season.

He said: "Winning two games in a row is a difficult thing to do in this league as it's so tight. If you do it you can really improve your league placing and now that we have one win we will be going all out for the second one.

"Last season Queen's did really well here and we have done well at their place and it would be nice to end that pattern."

Queen of the South have ruled out youngster Daniel Carmichael from the travelling party due to a dead leg.

But manager Gus McPherson is hoping Stephen Simmons and Stephen McKenna are available despite niggling injuries.

McPherson banned tackling in training on Friday morning to ensure the situation did not get any worse.

He said: "We have a number of players carrying knocks with the two Stephens being the worse so we made it non-contact just to be sure.

"The First Division is so tight you need to have your strongest squad available for every game so I was not taking any risks.

"Raith will be confident after beating Thistle last week but if we can work as hard as did against Falkirk last weekend we may just take something."
