Alex McLeish slams ‘amateurish' Aston Villa

ALEX McLEISH labelled his Aston Villa side 'amateurish' after Manchester City sent them to their first defeat of the season.
Big 'Eck moaned: "I told them they cannot afford to defend like that.
"It was a crying shame after starting the game as well as we did. We have to be better than we were because we were amateur.
"I don't think it is too difficult to spot what we had to learn. We must defend better at corners.
"When we ask people to pick up a man, they must pick them up.
"It is a thin line in top-level football between stopping a goal or conceding a goal and we cannot give away easy goals at a place like this."
