Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has confidently predicted that his side will beat Barcelona this season.
The Copa del Rey holders suffered against their Catalan rivals in La Liga last season, and were also kicked out of the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League by Barcelona.
However, according to reports by AS, speaking to a fan while visiting a centre for disabled children, the Portuguese confidently crowed that Jose Mourinho's men would make Barcelona taste defeat this season.
"Relax my friend, we will beat Barcelona this term," Ronaldo responded when asked whether Real Madrid would be able to beat the reigning European champions.
Just earlier this season, Real Madrid were beaten to the Spanish Supercopa by Barcelona with a 5-4 aggregate scoreline, and currently the Catalans lead La Liga with 14 points from six games.
