Udinese vs Bologna preview - Guidolin keeping Bianconeri grounded

Udinese Francesco Guidolin was refusing to get carried away by his team's excellent start to the Serie A season ahead of the visit of Bologna.

The Friuli club head into the weekend level on eight points with leaders Juventus after four games.

They will be hoping Juve slip up against AC Milan in order to go solo at the top of the standings, provided they beat Bologna.

"We have started better than last season," Guidolin said. "This is a positive thing but we have to take it one game at a time.

"This will be a long campaign for us and we will have to work harder than last year.

"We have a lot of games and we will be put to the test in every one of them."

Guidolin rested his top players in Thursday's 1-1 Europa League draw at Celtic with tomorrow's match in mind.

Udinese, who only lost four times at home last season, remain unbeaten in the league this term.

They followed their 1-1 draw at Milan with a goalless result at Cagliari last weekend.

Bologna, in contrast, travel to Udine on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Inter Milan that extended their winless run to four games.

The outcome left Pier Paolo Bisoli's side in 19th place with just one point to their name.

However, Bisoli, whose side held Juve to a 1-1 draw last month, is confident his team will soon be rewarded.

"We handed solid performances against Juventus and Inter," he said."I am certain that with the same fighting spirit we will soon get satisfaction."

The visitors will be without goalkeeper Jean Francois Gillet, who will be out for a month after suffering a fractured collarbone against Inter. Federico Agliardi will deputise.
