Ross County moved up to second as they extended their unbeaten home run to five league matches with a comfortable 4-0 win over Ayr United at Victoria Park.

Richard Brittain put the home side ahead on five minutes with a left footed-finish into the top left corner from the edge of the area.

Paul Lawson then doubled the home side's lead on 64 minutes as he finished into the top right-hand corner from 12-yards out.

Sammy Morrow fired home from the edge of the box to make it three five minutes later before Iain Vigurs completed the scoring three minutes from time with a powerful effort from close-range.

The result leaves Ayr bottom of the table on goal difference.
