Arsene Wenger: Don’t boo former Arsenal ace Emmanuel Adebayor

ARSENE WENGER last night told the Arsenal boo-boys to lay off Emmanuel Adebayor tomorrow.
The Tottenham star is set to be targeted by Gunners fans in his first Spurs outing against his old club.
But the Arsenal boss said: "That is what you don't want. You want people to support the team in a positive way, not all the hate.
"A football game is a fantastic day that everyone has to enjoy and with a positive atmosphere it is even more fantastic.
"So to our fans, let's get behind our team and forget about the rest.
"Adebayor is a great player. I really don't know what went wrong.
"Of course I rate him. He can be a threat on Sunday."
The Togo striker, 27, left for Manchester City under a cloud two years ago with accusations of bitter dressing-room fallouts before his £25million move.
City are believed to be paying at least half of Adebayor's £140,000 weekly wage.
But Wenger did not want to be drawn on who he thinks should be picking up the tab.
He said: "I know the salary of Adebayor.
"I don't know who pays it but somebody must pay it.
"I don't agree with all the rules but my job is to adapt to them."
