Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella made no excuses for his side's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Brazil on Wednesday evening, admitting that his outfit was beaten by the better team.

Second half goals from Lucas and Neymar were enough to see the home side through in the northern city of Belem, confirming Brazil as the winners of the Superclasico de las Americas after a 0-0 draw in Argentina two weeks ago.

And speaking to reporters after the match, Sabella could have no complaints about the result.

"Brazil won well, over the 90 minutes they were superior, above all in the first half because we weren't comfortable," he said. "The second half was closer. I liked Argentina more in the second half, when paradoxically we lost the game. I liked our tactics, we were solid, but I will not rule out a four man defence in the future."

Sabella moved on to discuss the upcoming World Cup qualifiers and revealed that his squad was almost defined for the first two games.

"I have 80 or 90 percent of my team, only a few from the local league need to be added," he said. "We will see how the final games of those who play in Europe turn out, and then we will decide the team based on positions and our needs."
