Michael Owen mocked by United team-mates over his love of jigsaws

Michael Owen's locker at Manchester United was defaced with a 'boring' sticker after a team-mate got his hands on a magazine clipping that revealed the  veteran striker enjoyed completing 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzles.

Owen was not too impressed when he found the sticker and called for the culprit to be outed on Twitter.

'Who is responsible for abusing my locker?,' wrote the former Real Madrid ace.

'Wouldn't mind but I gave up doing my daughter's jigsaw after ten minutes!'

The striker once uploaded a photo of jigsaw pieces scattered across a table, saying he was 'about to embark on the biggest challenge of his life'.

The challenge turned out to be a 1000-piece horse-inspired puzzle, and although he battled for hours, the former England hitman was eventually defeated by the mammoth jigsaw.

But now it seems his Manchester United pals have found out and are not going to let him off the hook for a pastime they clearly view as a snooze fest.

Owen's locker was plastered with a cut out of the jigsaw story along with a note that had four Z's on it along with an exclamation mark.
