Jeonbuk, Al Ittihad reach Asian semifinal

Lee Dong-guk’s four goals guided Jeonbuk Motors past Cerezo Osaka 6-1 into the Asian Champions League semifinals, where it will play Al Ittihad after it advanced despite a 1-0 loss at FC Seoul.
Mauricio Molina’s late goal wasn’t enough for Seoul as Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad advanced from the quarterfinal stage 3-2 on aggregate.
Osaka won the first leg of its quarterfinal 4-3 but lost that advantage in the 31st minute after Eninho scored for Jeonbuk.
Lee put the Koreans ahead for good with the first of four goals, while Kim Dong-chan also scored for Jeonbuk to take the quarterfinal 9-5 on aggregate.
In matches to be played Wednesday, Sepahan leads Al Sadd 1-0 and Suwon Samsung Bluewings and Zob Ahan are even at 1-1.
