Arbroath remain top of the Irn-Bru Scottish Second Division following a 3-2 victory at Brechin, their fifth-straight league victory.

The away side fell behind on 29 minutes after defender Scott Buist struck Neil Janczyk's corner into the back of the net before substitute Lee Sibanda's header from Mark Baxter's cross levelled the scores.

Paul Sheerin's men then seized the advantage from the penalty spot with 12 minutes remaining thanks to Steven Doris' confident penalty kick after Brechin midfielder Gary Fusco had upended Sibanda.

Brechin were then themselves awarded a penalty just four minutes later when Stuart Malcolm fouled Janczyk in the area, leaving substitute Paul McManus to equalise from the penalty spot.

A curling right-footed effort from Gavin Swankie earned all three points for Arbroath two minutes before full-time, a great effort from just outside the area settling an action-packed fixture.
