Ross County moved up to fourth in the Irn-Bru Scottish First Division after recording their first away win of the season in a 1-0 victory at Raith.
The visitors were unlucky not to take the lead on 32 minutes when Colin McMenamin saw his curling right-footed effort smash against the bar before being cleared to safety.
Raith's best opportunity fell to Brian Graham on 58 minutes, but the striker's drilled right-footed strike was excellently tipped over the bar by Ross County goalkeeper Michael Fraser.
The away side's goal came eight minutes from the end as Scott Boyd headed fellow defender Gary Miller's right-wing cross into the top right-hand corner from the centre of the penalty area.
