FRANKFURT, Germany (AP)—Hamburger SV rallied to end a four-game losing streak and earn its first win of the Bundesliga season under interim coach Rodolfo Cardoso by beating Stuttgart 2-1 in Friday’s match.
Jeffrey Bruma and Robert Tesche scored in the second half to give Cardoso a victory in possibly his only game in charge.
Cardoso took over on Monday from Michael Oenning, who was fired as Hamburg fell to the bottom of the standings.
Bild newspaper is reporting that Huub Stevens is poised to become Hamburg’s new coach.
