Genoa vs Catania preview - Malesani keen to build on win

Genoa coach Alberto Malesani has called on his side to build on their victory against Lazio last weekend when they host Catania.
The Grifoni began the Serie A season with a 2-2 draw against Atalanta but an inspired performance saw them beat Lazio 2-1 in Rome last Sunday.
"My players followed the game plan well against Lazio," Malesani said.
"They pressed them, made sure that Lazio didn't impose their play and we made the most of our chances.
"We were better than Lazio in the second half and we could have won by a bigger margin.
"I think my players are finally showing their true potential and that can only please me."
However, Malesani knows his players cannot get carried away as they face a stern test on Wednesday.
"Catania have enjoyed a good start to the campaign," he said.
"It's not going to be easy to get a victory but with the help of our fans, we will certainly try."
Catania go into the encounter at the Luigi Ferraris stadium on the back of a 1-0 triumph over Cesena, courtesy of Maxi Lopez's first-half penalty.
The result followed their goalless draw against Siena.
"I'm very happy because for the second straight game, we haven't conceded a goal," Catania coach Vincenzo Montella said.
"We gave them very little space and that is just what we wanted to do.
"I see my team united and confident and that is a good sign."
While Catania have been solid defensively, lack of goalscoring has been their problem so far.
Montella will be hoping Andrea Catellani and Alejandro Gomez will open their goal account against Genoa.
