Lazio coach Edy Reja has decided to stay with the Roman club after apparently considering resigning.
Lazio surrendered the lead in a 2-1 loss to Genoa on Sunday, drawing fierce protests from the Roman club’s fans and prompting Reja to say he was tired of working under such conditions.
Last week, Lazio drew 2-2 at home with Romanian side Vaslui in the Europa League.
Reja says he “met with the president and the squad, we cleared things up and I decided to continue.”
Lazio visits Cesena on Wednesday, having opened Serie A with an impressive 2-2 draw at defending champion AC Milan that included goals from both of Lazio’s newly signed internationals, Germany striker Miroslav Klose and France forward Djibril Cisse.
