Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez is set to return to training on Wednesday after injuring his right ankle in Sunday’s match against Chelsea.
The Mexico international limped off in the second half of United’s 3-1 victory after a tough challenge by Ashley Cole in the penalty area.
Agent Eduardo Hernandez says the injury is “just a bump, nothing more. It looked like (his absence) was longer, they were looking for a fracture, that’s why they ran those tests on him.”
The player’s agent added: “I expect him to be training without incident on Wednesday.”
United heads to Stoke on Saturday after opening its Premier League title defense with five straight wins.
