Getafe 0 : 1 Rayo Vallecano - Cuesta strike enough for Rayo

An early effort from Miguel Perez Cuesta earned Rayo Vallecano a 1-0 away win against Getafe in an ill-tempered Primera Division clash at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez.
Cuesta scored the only goal of the match after just four minutes when he headed a cross by Medina Piti into the bottom corner from close range, beating Getafe goalkeeper Miguel Moya.
There was a total of eight yellow cards in the match, five for the visitors, with all but two being handed out in the second half as the game descended into a tetchy affair.
Getafe's Tsepo Masilela was first in the book for persistent infringements and was joined by Rayo defender Pedro five minutes before the break for a foul on Juan Valera.
After half-time, Rayo's Alejandro Arribas, Jose Manuel Casado, Triguero Tito and goalscorer Cuesta and Getafe substitutes Alex Perez and Maestre Pedro Rios all saw yellow.
Miku had a good chance to level the scores for Getafe in the 51st minute when his shot at close range was cleared, before Cuesta was forced to clear a chance by Pedro Leon.
Both sides had an equal share of possession but Getafe continued to push for an equaliser, with Daniel Guiza's shot from 20 yards going wide.
Cuesta had a chance to double Rayo's lead in the 70th minute but his shot was blocked by Moya.
Rayo pressed for a second goal in the dying seconds but were unable to convert two successive Daniel Pacheco corners, with the final chance going begging when Andrija Delibasic was flagged offside.
